This product is great. It mixes well and it tastes really good. No artificial sweeteners! Yummy and low-cal.

Product Review: I love this stuff!

I'd been hearing and reading everywhere how good whey protein is for you so I finally thought I'd try to find a brand and flavor I could tolerate (i.e. drink without gagging) for the health benefit. After doing a lot of reading on the internet, I found a lot of folks saying that the biggest loser brand actually tasted good, and was reasonably priced. Tastes good? Yeah right, I thought. The vanilla flavor seemed to be reviewed better than the chocolate, but since they were relatively inexpensive, I decided to try both to see which one I thought I could drink. Now granted, I don't drink it straight - just the powder and water, but I don't add much - and it is thick and creamy like a shake. Here's my recipe (for either chocolate or vanilla flavor):

1 scoop powder
5 oz. water
3T yogurt (plain or vanilla)
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 cup crushed ice
1 packet Truvia sweetner

Optional: I sometimes add 2-3 strawberries if I'm using the vanilla powder. Not sure how they would taste with the chocolate (although I do like chocolate covered strawberries).

I throw all that in one of those mini blenders and it gets thick and creamy like a shake. It's actually quite tasty. I won't go so far as to say it tastes just like a chocolate shake, but it's good enough that I look forward to it every morning!

Note: I also eat an "oatmeal ball" with this. Since I can't tolerate (i.e. gag down) cooked oatmeal, I buy Steel Cut oats, cook them slightly (very "al dente") then stir into melted peanut butter and roll into small balls (about the size of a golf ball) that I keep chilled in the refrigerator. It makes for a nice, filling "ball of health" that goes great with my morning smoothie.

Product Review: The best brand, not the best flavor
Summary: 4 Stars

Biggest Loser protein products are by far the best as far as taste and mix-ability. I was surprised to find that every other product I've tried is really unhappy being mixed with any liquid, and isn't that the point? Anyway, I REALLY love chocolate, so I really wanted this too be great. It wasn't. "Somewhat reminiscent of chocolate" might be the best description (but still the best I've tried to date). I'd recommend the Blueberry and the Raspberry flavors and find another way to get your chocolate fix.

Product Review: This is a great product!
Summary: 5 Stars

I love this particular brand. I'm losing weight on it. This is how to fix it: In a blender, mix: 1 cup skim milk, 1 scoop chocolate powder, a squirt of Hershey's low-fat Chocolate Syrup and as many ice cubes as desired. It comes out deliciously thick, with or without the ice. I keep one made up in the fridge all the time and nurse it during the day or evening when I'm wanting to snack. It's very filling and satisfying. I also use the vanilla with fruit, juice and milk or yogurt--a great smoothie--but the chocolate is my favorite and seems to satisfy my cravings. I'm losing weight on it, so not going to switch to any other brand.
