Back when this item was called an "undergarment" it had more absorbency. Now, the materials they are made from are insufficient and uncomfortable, and that change was made around the time they changed the name to "belted shields" a few years ago. The belts are inferior also. Some are extremely stretchable, some are not. You never know if they are going to fit or not.
