ok, first of all, i bought these at Target for $18 a month ago - way cheaper than Amazon's current price of $29!!
i don't have severe TMJ, i have small teeth and a small mouth, and i find these quite comfortable. they are very flexible, and don't make me feel like i've got ten pounds of chewing gum stuck in my teeth. the first mouth guard i can sleep with, even though i wake up every morning and they fell out during the night. i've tried the bigger mouth guards you shape with hot water and your teeth, but they are so bulky i can't fall asleep - DenTek at least let me catch some ZZZs.
to be sure, DenTek's adjustment part is shoddy as heck, i don't know how that is supposed to work. i need them at the shortest setting.
overall, better than the bulky plastic mouth guards. minus a couple of stars for their problems adjusting and lack of staying power.
