Customer Review: Key player in solving my heel pain

I have plantar fasciitis. I had significant problems walking first thing in the morning. After three nights of splint, I do not anymore.
I hadn't tried any other splints so I have no comparison, but I picked this one because I knew my foot felt SO much better when I bent my toe back. I'm a US women's size 9, other reviewers with small feet report that the toe latch doesn't work for them. It works great for me. The first night I fiddled with the toe thing, and ended up not being able to latch it at all due to muscle tightness. I also had the heel straps too tight, and woke up because the heel cup bit into me. I loosened those, and ever since although I would not choose to wear a shoe to bed (or ever for that matter), I have had no issues sleeping. I was able to latch the toe loop into the first position on the third night, and have been very slowly making advances in stretching.
As the subject says, I've done several things to get my PF under control. I purchased otc arch supports for my shoes, ~$30 from amazon, and shoes I wear around the house. I'm never barefoot anymore, quite an adjustment for me. I have a desk job so I ice my foot mid-day, and I do stretches in front of the TV at night. I don't think this splint alone would have accomplished my recovery, but I have NO doubt that this splint has helped a great deal and I will continue using it and stretching. I'd recommend it to other PF victims as part of a solution.
