Tastes decent, mixes easily, compact packaging. Mixed at the "mild intensity" there was no discernable grit: one packet, 12oz filtered water, shaken for 5-10 seconds.
When I was looking for a protein supplement, reviews of other products spoke of unpleasant tastes that came through even when mixed with milk; reviewers resorted to mixing with flavored soymilk. I was pleased there was no hint of that here, nor with the after-taste. It tasted a bit like citrus soda. You can mix it with as little as 4oz water but I suspect that is overly intense, and if you're working out, you need the extra hydration anyway...
It's much too soon to tell if it will aid in putting on muscle or increasing the intensity of my workouts, but I'm hopeful.
I've been a life-long fitness buff, but had never tried protein mixes before, and had been discouraged by reports of trouble mixing, nasty flavors, high costs for non-whey protein, and even the ridiculously gigantic tubs of product sold at Target (they resemble a 1-2' high vitamin bottle) This product seems to resolve my concerns and has me finally using supplements.
Quibbles: Most who are using this product are doubtless doing it for health/fitness reasons. I'd like to see a "natural" version of this minus the artificial sweetener (sucralose) and the food coloring (yellow).
