The soap dish seems reasonable, I have just got it and seem to be with out any visible defects... I guess only time will tell, though it is not as deep as I would like it to be... The Col. Conk 2.25 oz shaving soap did not fit into it completely.... secondly the brush is pretty much worthless, I would recommend spending a bit more then wasting money on this... Does not give a good lather... I would not recommend buying this at all.... Please save your money...Product Review: bore bristle

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. I loved the smooth wood finish and the feeling of quality on the box and brush. The set feels more expensive than it actually was, and the packaging was quite nice.
I can't speak for the shaving experience (hubby said it was nice), but the soap smells very manly and good. I'll be ordering replacement soaps from this company for sure! It seems that the soap gives my husband a closer shave and smoother clearer skin than he gets with shaving cream.
