I bought this humidifier in part because it promised not to drop water around it as it misted. I have had to place a towel under it and under the mist emission to protect the expensive hardwood floors in the room it's needed in. It has served its purpose well in terms of effect.Product Review: A little too effective

I love this product. When I was in Alaska, the air was so dry, that I also had crusty snot in my nose (gross imagery, I know). I used this humidifier once and it all dissolved. It doesn't spit out too much water, so surrounding things stay relatively dry.
However, I have an issue with rheumatoid arthritis where when there's a lot of humidity in the air, I get muscle and and joint pains. And since this humidifier ran so efficiently, it brought about that pain. But that's at fault of my body and not the product itself.
Overall, I like it though I won't be able to use it without feeling discomfort in some form. My dogs are quite intrigued by the peculiar shape, and I think it's fun to look at. My fiance uses it when I'm not home though, and he loves it as well.

This humidifier is so cute. Goes great in my baby's nursery. I like the fact you can adjust the amount of mist. Penguins head turns to change the direction of the mist. Highly recommend. Great value for the price. Unit is super quiet.

I am really enjoying this humidifier. I like that it doesn't need a filter (I have not even noticed any white dust from using tap water). I also like that the size is manageable-- it is much easier for me to fill than something bigger would be and the small size also means that there isn't much chance for the water to get stale. It lasts a decent amount of time-- I have it turned up pretty high (another good thing-- adjustable output!) and it seems to last between 24 and 36 hours. I haven't had any of the problems other posters have mentioned-- no white dust, no leaking (condensation does drip a little bit when you take the water tank off, but it is not a big deal), very quiet, the little green light doesn't even bother me!. Really, I am just very happy with it so far-- it is completely adorable and works great!
