The dermatologist told me that I was not a good candidate for a hair transplant because even the hair in my donor area was thin. I lost a lot of my hair during chemotherapy and it just never grew back. He recommended a product to me called Couvre Alopecia Masking Lotion. I went on line to check it out and was intrigued enough to order some. It was just a bit difficult to apply evenly and it took me a little time to get it to look the way I wanted to. But, when I did, I couldn't believe it!! My hair actually looked thicker because my scalp looked darker giving the appearance of hair where there wasn't any. The product doesn't run or rub off and the directions say that you can even swim with it on. It is removed with shampoo. I'm impressed and would recommend this product to anyone who has bare spots, bald spots, thin or thinning hair.
