The engineer who designed this massager should go back to the drawing board! Some years ago, Conair made an excellent massager called the "Body Trainer." Mine finally wore out, but it was powerful and could be set at just the right angle to reach sore back muscles and get the job done. This model WM30N has inadequate power, even on high speed. If you reach over your shoulder and press down/massage a sore muscle, the head falls off! Repeatedly. There's no "lock" to hold it on; it simply slips over two inner prongs, and as soon as pressure is applied, off it goes. I'm not going to the bother of sending it back, but it leaves much to be desired.
Description of Conair WM30N Three Head Stone Wand
This three-head massager has all the attachments to release muscular tension, relieve muscular aches or pains, or loosen muscles before exercising. Two speeds offer either low, gentle vibration or high, vigorous massage. The stone attachment has a smooth, flat surface that delivers radiating heat, while the copper attachment provides even heat in one area without hot spots. Both of these heads have ridged surfaces and knobs around their edges for spot massage. The soft-contoured gel attachment transfers soothing vibrations deep into muscles. The massager has a flexible neck and a long handle that angles so you can get to hard-to-reach spots in the middle of the back. The heating element takes about 15 minutes to warm up, and an indicator light signals when the wand has reached the appropriate temperature.
