After using a radio tuned to a static channel to get our infant daughter to sleep, this machine is a godsend! The white noise is consistent and I'm sure as she grows older she will appreciate the other sounds. We also use the heartbeat track every now and then as well. Well designed product, wide range of volume, lots of different tracks and I especially like the timer feature which shuts itself off after an hour. Instead of having to stumble to turn off the radio in the middle of the night, this handy machine makes the white noise she needs but shuts itself off. Incredible. This sound machine works better than I expected it to. I made the difference in my son's sleeping habits- he definitely sleeps a bit longer. He loves the white noise; he doesn't seem to care much about the other sounds. He sleeps in my room, so it's nice not to have to tiptoe around because the noise drowns out footsteps and other sounds that might have awakened him had the room been silent. I give it 4 stars because the white noise sounds more like an off drumbeat, which is fine for the baby, but a bit annoying for some parents. This product delivers just what it promises and is quite reasonably priced. There is only 3 sounds that I use regularly, but that's 0k. I can only listen to one at a time anyway. I use it every night. It is better than sleeping pills because it works better and I don't have that chemical hang over next morning. It covers up a lot of those annoying noises that keep me from falling asleep. Highly recommended.Product Review: Broken record player...
