The product was good enough. It's not bulky and has a good number of sounds to choose from. The problem I have with it is the volume. When I adjust the volume knob slightly, there is a dramatic increase/decrease in the volume which does not correspond to the volume change that I want.Product Review: Good for Noise Making on the Road.

I use this at home, I have one in each room, and I have one in my suitcase. So far, it has held up well for the past few months. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is that sometimes I can hear the looping or something. Regardless, I wouldn't be caught without one.
You can turn the volume up REALLY loud which is nice when you have a snoring man beside you or loud idiots out in the hotel hallway thinking only of themselves.
I used to buy the expensive Brookstone model that always dies within several months. The sound was better, but you couldn't turn it up very loud and they didn't last very long.

Got mine at Walmart for about $16. It doesn;t sound the best, BUT the white noise sound can't be beat when used as background boise for a baby. My daughter is 18 mos now, and we still use it - and she thinks its a great toy during the day:)Product Review: Good for the price, but not great

I was looking for something pretty low-priced, and this was it. It had a good number of sounds. Our only two complaints have been the shortness and repetition of the sounds (they thunderstorm is usually my fav but there's literally thunder ever 3 seconds, that's pretty excessive!). Our other primary complaint has been that we can't keep our cell phones near it because of the feedback it creates. That sucks!Product Review: Good for the price.... not great

I purchased this item to help me sleep during the day as I work nights... however it was not the right one for me. First off I could hear the "clicking" that occured every few seconds to restart the sound. And it drove me up the wall. But the thing that really did me in was the fact that whenever anyone would call my cell, or anyone in my buildings cell, the unit would make a horrible screaching noise... now i've had that with speakers, but I was not expecting it with a sound machine. Needless to say I was constantly being woken by a horrible screaching, so I returned it and got Marpac 580 Sound Screen & SleepMate Sound Conditionerinstead.
