I just bought this sound machine (in a store) and looked all over the box for mention of a timer. Didn't see anything, so assumed it was "on/off" or perhaps with an optional timer.
How ridiculous that it ONLY works with a timer. Conair must not do any user studies to see how people actually use these devices. It needs to be able to stay on all night for those of us using a sound machine to drown out other noises such as computers, DVRs, traffic, noisy neighbors, etc.

I bought this after a homedics model i'd been using for years mysteriously started turning itself off. I figured, if all i need is some white noise, a cheap machine should be up to the task. not so! this thing sounds terrible, the "white noise" is irregular, and most of the other sounds are of unlistenably low quality. As others have noted, the "timer" feature is not a feature at all, but a limitation. The longest this will stay on is 60 mins. There is no way to bypass the timer.
don't waste your money. this is a piece of junk.
