The heating pad is a good size for shoulders and back especially. It has an automatic shut-off which is a safety device and the controls are easy to maneuver with just a touch. The pad is fairy flexible and therefore not as stiff as some others I've seen. I use it in my massage practice and am very pleased with its performance.Product Review: Dissappointed

I chose this item, because of the bad and the good reviews, said it didn't get hot enough, that it was hard and didn't bend, that it worked well if you only wanted on your back, moist heat was good, on and on, all of which fit me to a tea. I have kidney cancer and the heat helps relived the back pain, so imagine my disappointment the first time I used it, wrinkled so bad it added to the discomfort, I fell asleep and I got blisters. So much for the heat not being hot enough. What happened to the hard not bendable not hot enough pad I thought I was buying, maybe the rest of you should try it again, I think they fixed it.Product Review: Does the job!

My first heating pad was--Sunbeam Health at Home Heating Pad, King Size 14" x 18". In my opinion, I like the Sunbeam one better. It heats up faster and feels better than ConAir. That being said, I enjoy ConAir for what it is. It does the job well as it should. Three levels of the temperature setting are distinguishable. When it's on High, it can get quite hot. I sleep with it on Low.
I would recommend this product.
