Customer Review: Better than shaving. . . . Not as good as waxing

This is my first time using an epilator. I have always shaved or waxed in the past. The first time using was rather painful - not as bad as waxing but much more prolonged. After that, once weekly maintenance is quite tolerable. I have very fair hair and find that I have to make several passes to get all the hairs. Also, many hairs do get broken off so I'm never really smooth - there is always a kind of stubbly feel. Dark-haired users may get better results, but with more pain.
I tried to use this epilator just a little on my underarms and couldn't take the intense pain.
Overall, I'm fairly satisfied with the results and I will continue to use this epilator. Once-a-week with the epilator beats shaving 2-3 times per week. However, if I could afford it I would go to the salon for waxing.
