The band was almost as dark as the control band when I tested positive; but that was enough for me, since I had read other reviews and knew this was the case with most people. Works great. The only issue is that there are no instructions or pictures at all. If I had not used store bought ovulation tests (they come with detailed instructions) before these, I wouldn't have known what to do or what to look for. Pee in a cup (first thing in the morning or after a 4 hour hold, limiting liquid intake) and dip the stick in until the line labeled "Mark". This arrived on time. It's easy to use. The directions are clear and come with the package. This takes the guessing game out. I too was ovulating later than I thought. The lines are clear on the LH strips. Now I'm just waiting to use the pregnancy test! I would recommend this to any woman trying to get pregnant!
