Before I bought this pillow I was in almost constant pain and couldn't find a place to sit down that didn't make it hurt worse. This pillow is fantastic it is soft enough to be comfortable and yet firm enough to give great support.It also keeps it's shape quite well, you could be sitting on it for hours and then get up for two mins and the pillow will feel like you had never sat on it.Just be careful about doing the expedited shipping, I got a email from UPS that they had received the package info and telling me the estimated time of delivery, but the company took forever to get the package to UPS and the estimated time of delivery changed.Product Review: Firm, but not too firm

I dislocated my tailbone after giving birth to my daughter and I am so glad that I finally found a coccyx cushion that works well for me. This cushion is firm enough to offer support, but not too firm that it becomes uncomfortable. The cutout section in the back is properly placed to take pressure off of the tailbone. I am finally able to sit comfortable in a chair, in the car or anywhere I need to.Product Review: Good Product. Would buy another one.

This is a good product for anyone with a tail bone injury. It almost eliminates my tailbone pain when I sit on it. Well made and comfortable. Durable. I am considering buying another one so I don't have to transport it back and forth to work.Product Review: Good if You Need a Firm Cushion

These types of cushions are difficult to discern. I made one of my own, and then ordered 2 different types from Amazon - to provide relief from coccyx pain while sitting. I think it is a very personal determination which cushion works best for you.
This cushion was a bit larger than expected (14 1/2" x 20" instead of 13 x 16) and it is, indeed, VERY FIRM. For me, it is too firm; I prefer the other brand I purchased better. However, some people might get better relief from such a firm cushion. It seems well made, has a zippered cover, vinyl on one side and suede on the other to prevent slipping. The overall height (3") and slope are good. The cut-out for the coccyx is adequate, and there is a sewn-in carrying handle. The color is a very dark brown and would look just fine if I had to carry it with me for jury duty or something. I have not yet tried this one in the car, only in my home office.
I only rated it 3 stars because it is too firm for me. That may not be fair. It is as advertised, and extra firm may be what you need.

My husband is in a wheelchair and we have been looking for a replacement cushion. When we couldn't find the exact cushion he normally uses, we shopped around and took a chance on this one. It was a great decision.
This cushion is firm, yet soft. Lots of support and with hours of use, it doesn't flatten out. It fits in a wheelchair with a flat seat as well as in a scooter type power chair. Great product, fast shipping and good price. Who could ask for more?
