Product Review: Cheap Plastic Clip

For the price these rate a 1 for the following:
THe all important clip that attaches to the glasses is
made of some cheap plastic.
Mine arrived broken on one side. As soon as I operated
the lever to open these so as to attach to my glasses one
of the prongs on one side snapped.
I did detect some 'stickage'
as I operated these but did not apply undue force whilst opening. I suspect
one of the prongs-pads had some residue on it that caused it to stick
somewhat.
After studying these for a few minutes I determined they are
unworthy of keeping as the plastic is not of the sturdy kind
but of some cheap material that is easily cracked/broken. Especially
if it is cold (say below 60F).
Amazon rates a 10 as I have the return labels in hand already for
a refund.
I'd not buy these if I was you. Look elsewhere. For the 12 bucks or so
you deserve a better quality item.
P.S. The magnification on these is very hard to detect. WIth my eyes and my
eyeglasses the focal range was about at 2 feet with perhaps an inch of usable
depth. The magnification was really useless IMO and even if they had not been
broken I'd have returned these.
Buyer would probably be better off going to local ChinaMadeMart and look
thru the selection of clip-ons there and find a magnification range they want.

It came sooner then I expected and was easy to use. I bought a magnivisor at the same time and I've ended up using the clip on magnifiers more because they flip out of the way and have about the same magnification.Product Review: OK, but not great

The magnification is about what you get from reading glasses at WalMart. The benefit is the clip-on aspect. I work on computers and, occasionally, need to see something better with my hands free. So, I clip-on these glasses and it helps. Just wish they were a little more powerful.Product Review: Should be stronger

I don't see enough magnification with these glasses to be usefull to me. But they might work for someone who has not been to their optometrist in a long time.
