Product Review: Best energy bar - tastes like candy!

I've tried a lot of energy bars. i use them while I'm camping and as high-protein snacks when I am watching my weight. These Builder Bars are the BEST! They are hefty in weight - you get your money's worth. They are chocolaty and candy-like, though they are high in protein. They are a perfect meal substitute if you are hiking, camping, fishing, or somewhere that you can't stop to make a meal. I have these on subscription order - they come every month and we eat them all. This is an incredible price, too.

I bought a few of these a year ago. The first time I tried one, I was in the car on my way to go sculling. My first reaction was that it tasted heavy and terrible, and swore off the things.
Later, I learned about the benefits of getting a good chunk of protein after a workout. A friend of mine told me that the Builder's Bar was a great way to get this, and I remembered that I had one sitting in my gym bag.
Usually, immediately after a hard workout, my stomache can't even stand the thought of eating anything. The Builder's Bar seems to be optimized to be edible under these conditions. After a hard workout, they taste quite good, and I've found that I recover more quickly and have less muscle soreness the next day.

These bars are great. I've been having them for a few months and I love them. They're probably the best I've ever had. They taste great! I personally prefer the chocolate over the peanut butter bars, but the PB bars are a nice change when I'm bored with Chocolate. After trying several bars and hating the chalkiness and bad aftertaste I finally found this bar. They're both chewy and crunchy, the chocolate satisfies my sweet tooth, and they keep me satiated until my next meal. Plus the fact that they don't use hydroginated oils or corn syrup to sweeten the bar - along with using healthier alternatives and this bar wins over any other bar out there.Product Review: Good bars-- Go Clif

I frequently bought the normal clif bar variety pack (approx $0.75 a bar) at costco before I found these. I like the addition of chocolate and the increased protein of the builders bars (9g in the normal ones and 20g in these). The bars taste great and the added minerals and organic ingredients make them very healthy. The only downside I see is that the protein is soy protein-- I would prefer whey.
