Product Review: Clif Energy Bar Review

While everyone's talking about taste, I'd like to point out a few other aspects:
1. I have one of these with a glass of milk about an hour before my workout (running/weights). The bars say 'nutrition for sustained energy' on the label and this is absolutely true. It's a slow energy release bar so you feel its effects even 2-3 hrs after you've had it. I believe this is the true purpose of an energy bar - not something that gives you instant energy and leaves you 'crashed' afterwards.
2. It's organic and has none of those high fructose corn syrup/splenda/nonsensical ingredients.
As far as the comments about the peanut butter and chocolate chip peanut crunch go, these are my fav. flavours. I'd say try them all and decide which one you like best :)

I find the Clif Bars generally good tasting and scrumptious with the exception of the Chocolate Chip, it tastes too sweet for me. I use them as my breakfast replacement with two pieces of fruit. I just can't make the effort to make breakfast in the morning. So the bars greatly help me keep a balanced diet of sorts. Especially because I am prone to skipping breakfast and I won't eat something till 2pm. This in turn would cause me to overeat at lunch or worse later at home for dinner. It keeps me sufficiently full and light on my feet, as I usually feel lethargic if I eat any meat products for breakfast. I googled the ingredients and they are of high quality and I asked my vegetarian friend she told me she is in love with them especially the convenience it provides with our busy lives. I enjoy having a little snack while I am cycling and I grew tired of the dry hard bars that other makers have put out on the market. Believe me when you're cycling at 20 mph and you want a little something to hold you over until you reach your destination a cliff bar or two will get the job done. They won't melt in the wrapper like other bars do. (bars that are stored in your jersey's back pocket) They are soft and chewy and most importantly they're great tasting. These bars are heavy, and will fill you up, they taste good, but for me, a couple of 24 packs make me bored of the taste.
