I was breaking or losing drug-store reading glasses at a rate of a pair every month or so. I've had a pair of Clics for a couple of months now and so far they work great. The strap holds them snugly and up out of the way so they are protected when they aren't in use. The strap and hinged eyepieces are also much better than standard glasses at accepting the stress of constantly taking them on and off. The lenses seem to be fairly tough and not getting a lot of scratches, even tho I work outside a lot. I wear a large hat size (ca 7 - 3/8) and I'd read that the standard Clic strap was sometimes too snug for folks with big heads, but that's not been a problem with the long strap.
The only minor annoyance is that the long-strap models don't come in many styles.
My wife thought they were pretty neat but lost some of her interest because the strap tends to ride over the top of long hair and hold it down. Getting the strap up under the hair was a bit of a nuisance, especially when they're being taken on and off a lot.
