Product Reviews of CliC Adjustable Front Connect Reader, 2.00 Strength, Tortoise FrameProduct Review: Great Product Summary: 5 Stars
Stumbled on these by accident after seeing one of the characters on CSI NY wearing them. Great for anyone who needs glasses handy but does not want to have to keep putting them in a pocket or on a neck chain - where they can get caught on something while leaning over. While they do adjust for length - a larger size would be welcome so they would be longer and a bit wider as well. I find they grip too tight on the left/right sides (width) and the longest length could be the smallest on a bigger sized pair. I actually cut mine today right through the name on the headband, and, added a small length of spring on each end to make bigger. They seem perfect this way! Optics are very even and clear for an inexpensive pair of specs.
Product Review: Great Reading Glasses Summary: 5 Stars
I love my Click Glasses. They hang very comfortably around my neck and it is so easy to pull them apart and pop them on for use. then quickly pull apart to go back to the neck hanging mode. They are much sturdier than using a cord to hang regular reading glasses around your neck.
Product Review: Great attention getter!!!!! Summary: 4 Stars
This is about my 5th pair of Clics. I love them - as a teacher they are indispensible if you constantly lose your glasses. I can't tell you how many times people have asked me what they are. They get pretty banged up wearing them around your neck all the time (I pretty much do), but the price is right so I order a new pair every few months. Buy them - you won't be sorry.
Product Review: Great glasses! Summary: 5 Stars
This is the second pair of CliC glasses I've gotten. The first one lasted for several years of daily use before one of the arms broke (from so much use!). When I was waiting for my new ones to arrive, I taped the old ones together because I would have been lost without them. My only complaint would be that I could use a stronger magnification, such as 2.50 strength, and the highest strength available was 2.00. But, other than that, I really recommend these reading glasses.
Product Review: Handy, tough but too expensive Summary: 3 Stars
I bought a couple of pairs of these a few years ago and they are tough and I have liked them. They have out-lasted all the other magnifiers I have bought. I would have given these glasses a 5 star review but the manufacturer has doubled the price. I can see raising the price due to the increase in manufacturing costs but to double the price just because they are popular and gouging people really raises my hackles. I am sure I have sold quite a few of these glasses myself over the years just from 'word of mouth' recommendation. You consumers go ahead and decide if they are worth the price to you. I am just annoyed because when people have less money it is criminal to double the price on something like this. Yes, the quality is decent (better than Chinese goods) and the glasses are handy but I must say I was shocked to see the current price. Inflation? No, gouging the public in a recession.
March 2011 update: I must say these glasses are sturdy and have outlasted all my other drug store 'cheaters'. But I am sorta annoyed that the manufacturer is now gouging people to the tune of about 30 bucks a pair! WOW! That is almost double what I paid for my two pair back a few years ago. Sheesh! I know everything has gone up, but 29.99? I paid 16.99 a pair for them.
