Product Review: Easy and Clear Results, No False Positive Here

When my period was 3 days late, I bought a Target brand HPT and took it on Tuesday. I was confused by the results. After 3-5 minutes there was a faint second line but I wasn't sure if it was positive or just a poor quality test. I decided to buy the 2-pack Clear Blue Easy Digital pregnancy test on Thursday to eliminate any confusion. I was shocked to see the work PREGNANT after only 1 minute when I took the test on Thursday night. After reading all the reviews here about false positives, I decided to use the second test on Friday morning. That one was also positive. Still doubting the accuracy I bought an E.P.T. brand and used it on Saturday morning. Again it was positive. I have a doctor's appt on Wednesday to confirm by blood test, but I'm pretty sure I know the tests were accurate.
I wanted to say the digital tests were easy to read and there was no guess work involved. I got the 2-pack at Target for only $10.59. Maybe the folks at Clear Blue Easy have improved the digital tests since most of these reviews are from 2007/2008. Hope this comment helps someone.

I used this test and also had a friend who is pregnant use this test. The way that the readout works is that the words "not pregnant" are printed in the screen, and either just "pregnant" or "not" and "pregnant" show up depending on the result. While the readout is clear in both cases, you can faintly see the "not" even when the readout is "pregnant". I can see this as potentially being confusing. It was accurate for both me and my friend, but your mileage may vary.
The instructions were clear and easy to read. The packaging was a little overmuch. I definitely feel like the packaging could be reduced to be more eco-friendly.

There isn't too much I can say about this product. It did it's duty and informed us quickly we had nothing to worry about.

My favorite part of the Clearblue easy pregnancy test is that they give unmistakably clear results in WORDS. No guess work, no holding a pregnancy test up to a light at an angle because you think you might possibly see a faint line, and it is fun to share with others as they can read the results.
They advertise as 99% accurate, but note that it is from the day of your expected period. They claim results 5 days sooner, but it is also important to note that at 5 days before you expect your period it only has 51% accuracy. Clearblue easy discloses that very clearly on the box.
I noticed that there are a few negative reviews on Amazon.com. One of the reviews said that she had been using fertility medications in order to get pregnant. It is very important to find out whether the medications you use contain HCG (pregnancy hormone) before you take a test because the test is checking for the level of HCG in your body. A recent miscarriage and taking HCG for weight loss could also produce a false positive. One of the reviews said that Clearblue gave them a positive and another brand gave them a negative result. This was not because the other test was more accurate, but that Clearblue was more sensitive.
The test is easy to use you either urinate directly on the test or dip it in urine. It also has a unique hourglass symbol to show you the test is working. The test also provides fast results in just 3 minutes or less.
Lastly, the reason for 4 stars is that Clearblue is pricier than other brands. I am assuming that their cost of production is higher than the non-digital versions.
All in all an easy and fun pregnancy test to use.

I have irregular period and so many time been disappointed with false hope. My period maybe late up to two months and still, I'm not pregnant. I've used so many test sticks in variety of brand (like to try different thing) and never received a positive response. This product was not different, it gave me a negative and that was actually accurate. Guess I can't give it a FIVE STARS on accuracy because I'm still waiting to get the POSITIVE and then compare it with blood test. (like others did. Sorry to hear it gives bad reading to many other reviewers)
One thing I like about this test is how easy it is to use and read.
