Product Reviews of Clearblue Easy Digital Pregnancy Test, 3 Count (Packaging May Vary)

Product Review: False positives were unheard of until this test came along
Summary: 1 Stars

My husband and I have been trying to conceive a second child for almost a year. After a very light period (hoping it was implantation bleeding), I took this digital test and got a very clear "Pregnant" reading. We were elated but not convinced. The next day we repeated the tests with 2 different brands- all negative. Still hoping that it was very early and the CBE was more sensitive than the other brands, I went to my fertility specialist for a blood test. It was negative and other tests they had run earlier in my cycle proved I was never pregnant that cycle.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I had a positive home test and called my dr. They said, If you got a positive result... you're pregnant! These tests used to be very accurate. False negatives did happen because of variations in the level of HCG hormone. But false positives were unheard of! Not anymore.

Save yourself the heartache. Too many women have gotten false positives from this brand for them to all be chemical pregnancies. This is a faulty test and should be recalled. All consumers should be reimbursed... class action lawsuit. How can these people sleep at night knowing the heartache they've caused?

Product Review: Fast and easy fail proof pregnancy test. Easy to read pregnant or not. Pee on it or in cup & dip stick for 20 secs read 3 mins.
Summary: 5 Stars

Works great and eaiser to read says not pregnant or pregnant. Not hard like the lines and plus signs. Those taking feritlity drugs may get false positive.

Product Review: GREAT PRODUCT

To be short. I made 8 home pregnancy test, 4 of them were clear blue digital and all of them went PREGNANT nad the other 4 from diferents brand went negative. At the end I was actually pregnant and just because the old bad coments and reviews I spend more than a $100 in test. Clear Blue Digital was the only right... It is the best product.

Product Review: Gold standard for digital!
Summary: 4 Stars

For the most part, these tests have always been fast and accurate. I have had a few of these tests in the past that have been duds, just not worked at all, but I may have over-saturated the test. That said, these are great because there is no misinterpretation of the results. While they are expensive, they are great to show to someone that may not believe that any second pink line means pregnant on a regular test. These test pretty low levels of HCG (pregnancy hormone.) I have seen people get positive results on these with a level of 10. A word of caution....if you open up the test, you will ALWAYS see two blue lines on the inside. This does NOT mean you are really pregnant and the test is wrong. These tests measure differently than a regular test, so I recommend not opening up the test at all because all you will do is drive yourself crazy. Another thing I have noticed about these tests is that if the result is going to be positive, it will show faster, if it is going to be negative it will take a bit longer to show up. Overall these are the only digital I would use, and I have used A LOT of tests over the past 7 years because I have been trying to have another baby for that long. I only give 4 stars because of the unknown reason for the dud tests, but I am sure if you called Clearblue if you get a test that doesn't work, they will send you a refund or a new test.

UPDATE: I got a positive on one of these tests on 10/10/10 and my beta HCG was 11 the next day, so they are definitely very sensitive!

Product Review: Good Product

I wish that I could comment on the accuracy. The only way to do that would be to perform hundreds of tests with many different subjects. Not practical. I can only tell you that it was accurate for us.

I know that improper use could cause the device to not function properly. The instructions are specific about keeping the testing tip oriented properly (probably has something to do with gravity) and the exact time to expose the tip depending on how you take the sample. I wonder if everyone who has had problems with the device read and followed the instructions. The instructions even give you a number to call if the device does not appear to perform properly.

We've used two other brands and what I remember about them is that reading them was a tad less obvious. If I recall correctly, we had to look for a colored line or some other sort of symbol to appear. One of them was supposed to render a result after a given amount of time - but after that time elapses and nothing has happened, how do you know of the device needs more time, whether it's finished, or whether you did something wrong? This product says in plain English, "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant". There is even an hourglass icon that blinks to indicate that it is processing (working).

It works (for us) and it's the simplest device we have used so far. What's not to like?
