Product Review: Looks Sharp

I recently bought this product for my boyfriend and he loves it! His laptop gets extremely hot and when he puts it on his lap, it's ridiculous. After I bought this product for him, he can use his laptop much more often. We're off at college and because there's never enough space, we find ourselves working on the bed. After I got this, he can work longer without quickly becoming uncomfortable. And as an added bonus-- it looks great; the wood is very attractive! I've had no problems with the bean bag cushion underneath like some have, you just have to take care of the product. Essentially it's a piece of furniture, you're only responsibility is respecting it like you would anything else.It has a convenient little zipper for whatever (i.e. pens, pencils) It's also big enough to have a little bit of room for a mouse, which is a plus when you're tired of using the trackpad.
Overall, I'm very happy with this.

I bought this product but returned it within a couple of days. Why? Although I found it to be a high quality lap desk and very comfortable to use on my lap, all the cushioning underneath made my lap way too warm very quickly, and so I just couldn't use it comfortably, as my thighs would get sweaty in only a matter of minutes.
I ended up buying the Levenger Lap Desk from Levenger.com (item # AD4985) that works much better in that it doesn't sit directly on my lap (instead, each end of the lap desk sits on the arms of my lounge chair, and so there's no heat put on my thighs -- this is the lap desk I use when sitting in my living room); however, this lap desk is $48, which is kind of high in my opinion, but it is well constructed and durable, and at the time I bought it I found a 30% off coupon code on [...] and so that made the price much more reasonable.
For sitting in bed, I found a fantastic handcrafted lap desk that I absolutely love for a little over [...] on eBay (including shipping) thru an eBay seller by the name of William Gould in Brookville, PA, who crafts each desk by hand in solid cherry wood -- this lap desk also doesn't sit directly on your lap, as it hovers above your legs at adjustable heights, and so you're not dealing with the heat problem with this desk either -- if you're interested in that type of lap desk, go to eBay and search for William Gould -- his eBay ID is: wmgould). [...]makes a similar lap desk that would be great for using in bed called the Lapster Lap Desk Tray (item # FA2595), but in my opinion it's way overpriced at[...]
I say all of this because it was frustrating buying one lap desk, then having to return it and buy another one, and so perhaps this will save you some of the trouble and hassle I experienced.

Product Review: Nice quality desk

I bought this desk for my mother to replace an older lap desk she had. I was surprised how nice this looks in person. The wood has a very nice finish on it; almost a cherry finish. The cushion on the bottom is a nice velvet like material.
This desk is big! It could easily hold a 17 inch laptop. My mom uses it to do crosswords and do her writing. It is very sturdy but not to heavy for her to use.
I gave the desk a once over and didn't see any of the problems some other reviewers complained about. I would definitely buy one of these again. I might even buy another one for myself.

Wood screws have fallen. Bottom frame has come apart. Poor quality for the price. Beans of bean bag started to come out when the bottom frame started to become loose. Truly disapointed with this product
