Chloraseptic Spray is great for a sore throat. Many people like the cherry or grape flavor, but I prefer the mint. It seems like more serious medicine. Use Chloraseptic as directed by your doctor, and read the label to know exactly how to use it.
Check with the doctor if the sore throat is persistent or if you have any of these symptoms: high fever, fever for more than two days, headache, nausea, vomiting, white patches in the throat, a cough producing mucus, a cough that lasts for more than a week, peeling in the mouth, swollen gums, or swollen tongue.
If you are concerned about your throat for any reason, contact your doctor.
If a child has a harsh, barking cough, take him or her to the doctor immediately. Don't spray the throats of children under three years of age with Chloraseptic unless you have your doctor's approval.
If you are pregnant or breast feeding, check with your doctor before using Chloraseptic.
If you have allergic reactions, including rash; hives; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue, seek medical attention.
