The Chillow pillow does what it purports to do. It makes my head more cooler and comfortable when sleeping. The only flaw is that the interior fill tends to bunch up in a corner of the pillow, requiring a special procedure to correct. Perhaps the speed in which this occurred, (several days) is because I tend to toss and turn a lot when I sleep. A more placid sleeper may not experience this problem. Nonetheless, it basically solves a problem I have long had when sleeping, especially during the warm summer months and I recommend it to anyone who experiences uncomfortable warmth in the head area when sleeping.Product Review: Just Not For Me

While I love the concept of this product, it just didn't work well for me. The instructions are rather detailed and you have to follow them carefully. I did that and didn't notice much coolness. I did put the pillow in the refrigerator as instructed and was in heaven for all of about 2 minutes. I think it's just that I'm an incredibly warm person and I'm not sure that anything less than a bag of ice is going to cool me off when I'm sleeping. The worst part is I'm not even near menopause yet...that's going to be even more fun!
I did read the reviews before I purchased this product and even though there were good and bad, I decided to try it. I will be returning it. I think this is just one of those products that you can't make a judgment based on what others say because everyone is different. As I said, I'm warm pretty much all the time. I tried the Chillow when it was 80 at night and I have no air conditioning, only fans. Of course it's too warm, so I waited till the weather cooled before making a decision. It didn't seem to matter, I would awake in the middle of the night with my hair soaking wet from the Chillow either retaining the heat or not releasing it properly. It could well be that I didn't follow the instructions carefully enough. Either way, I'm thinking this just isn't the miracle that I was hoping to find. Wish you all luck though! Stay cool ;-)
Product Review: Kept me cool, but got me wet

I only slept on it one nite, and woke up with my pillow case all wet, and my hair. Now, I also bought one as a gift for Christmas, and I'm praying there are not problems with it. I am returning mine, in the hopes of getting another one. It really keeps you cool, in fact, at first I thought it may be too cool at this time of year, however after I got settled in, I like it. Now the reason it Review: Kind of disappointingSummary: 3 Stars I have to admit that it's easier to use than I was led to believe. And at first it really does seem to keep cool in spite of proximity to your body. But after a few hours of sleeping on it, I found that I woke up with my face and hair damp with sweat.
Perhaps this was because the night was so humid, I don't know. All I know is that several times during the night, I was forced to pull the Chillow out of my pillowcase and move it away from my body. After a few minutes, I could put my head back down on it and it would be cool again. I will continue to work with it, but my first response to it was not as favorable as I would have hoped.
