Product Reviews of CellMass-BSN Creatine Ethyl Ester, 1.71lb Arctic Berry Blast (New 50 Servings)Product Review: Added 3.5 inches to my arms in just 6 weeks Summary: 5 StarsTo be the best, recovery from training is a must. In addition to replacing high-energy compounds such as creatine phosphate, ATP and glycogen, CELLMASS? replaces electrolytes, all of which increases one's resistance to fatigue and overall work capacity. That is why it is said, "The CELLMASS? you take today, is the CELLMASS? you feel tomorrow."
I have consistently taken this product for 30+ years. This product is great, 5 stars.
Product Review: didn't work for me Summary: 3 StarsThis is my first creatine product and was quite excited to find the ethyl ester version instead of the monohydrate which I'd heard gave some digestive issues. Anyway, seemed to dissolve really well had a pleasant enough taste but felt it did nothing for me in improving my energy level during workouts. Hope it works for you...
Product Review: GREAT! Summary: 5 StarsI had been using super sugary creatine drink powders with nearly 200 calories per scoop before trying this stuff which is only 30 calories! Its great and I like the fact I was easily able to cut out those calories so I can now replace them with calories from protein. Also the stuff works great and tastes great. I don't know what it is about this stuff but I really like the taste.
Product Review: Seems like a good creatine supplement. Summary: 4 StarsI have been using Cellmass for about two months now. Before that I was taking Gaspari SizeOn, which is much more expensive. SizeOn, and some other creatine products, also combines waxy maize carbohydrate supposedly to improve creatine uptake into muscle. The post-workout carbohydrate issue is anything but an open-and-closed case, and there is a mounting body of evidence that it is better if you are cutting to avoid that post-workout carb since it decreases insulin sensitivity and post-workout fat utilization...and may even impede muscle protein uptake. Regardless, I wanted a creatine supplement that did not combine the carbohydrate. Another thing to consider is that the Gaspari product , and many other creatine products, contains mostly the creatine monohydrate whereas CellMass is mostly creatine-Ethyl-Ester (CEE). There are theoretical advantages to CEE, but most of the studies on creatine showing benefit were done with the monohydrate and may not be generalizable to the newer compound...it's just not known yet. Is Cellmass a high quality creatine? Who knows. There are no regulations on this sort of thing and I doubt there is any oversight on manufacturing. I do have some confidence in the BSN brand, though, and they have a dedicated following among lifters I know.
That being said I have had good gains with Cellmass. The dosing regimen on the label is somewhat confusing, but basically I just take it twice a day - with a workout if I am working out that day - otherwise, whenever. It smells very nice with a hint of cinamon and does not have that chemical smell some others do. It tastes pretty good but I usually mix it with a packet of diet lemonade to boost the flavor. It disolves completely in water and does not leave a residue on your Nalgene bottle (something I can't say for Gaspari which was a real pain to clean out and consistently clumped at the bottom). I plan on sticking with Cellmass unless I can find something better, but having compared it to the supposed top creatine product, I can say that I actually like this better.
Product Review: BSN - No BS Here Summary: 4 StarsI started to lift weights with a friend of mine and cell mass was recommended to me. I feel like I get results from this product. Do not let people fool you and say it is not creatine. It has 3 types of creatine but supposably it is not bad for you. I am no expert but
I like this product.
