My son recently broke his arm and the doctor had to put a cast. He also suggested that we should buy a cast cover in any pharmacy store to make it easy to shower. Therefore, we bought the first one available in the store. This cast cover looked like a small garbage bag with a special rubber in order to get it tight and avoid any water entrance to the cast. Two weeks past by and my son started noticing that the cast became kind of softer and he implied that it was little bit itchy. So, we went back to the doctor and the doctor was questioning if he was taking a shower with the cast cover. After answering all the questions to the doctor, the doctor ended up apologizing for his recommendations. He concluded that the material of the cast cover that we bought had infected my son's arm and that was the motive of being itchy. The cast had kept all the humidity and it started to grow some kind of fungus for being using a cast cover made from some low quality material.
I had no choice than to do my own due-diligence and I found [...]. This product was perfect for my son to make it smooth during using the cast. The cast cover kept away the humidity because of the quality of the material Tyvek which is a highly breathable component. At this point, I did not care about how much money to spend extra but in fact the cast cover ultra it sells for the about the same price of other similar products on the market. Therefore, I rate this product A++ for its quality, price and convenience.
