Vitamin D is recommended highly for MS patient's like myself. This is a necessity to my daily regimen. I had my vitamin D level checked and was I surprised how low it was. Right now, I am on a prescription dose of vitamin D. Once my level returns to normal, I will start taking this recommended dose daily. FYI: If you have MS and have not had your vitamin D level checked, get that done right away, it could make a world of difference in your overall MS health. Carlson is a very good supplement company, you can trust them completely for quality. Vitamin D is seriously important to include in your daily regimen, especially for those who get little sun in the winter, or are indoors a lot. My endocrinologist told me to take 4000 mg a day, but 2000 mg a day should work for many people. You get 10,000 mg in 10 minutes in the sun. I wouldn't take more than I've mentioned till scientists say differently though, as too much is very bad for you. Getting sun is the safest way to get vitamin D as it's possible to get too much. I have been taking extra Vit D for a number of years, which was contained in other supplements and prescription Fosamax. Last year I switched to Carlson 2000 IU, which I take most days, sometimes 2 per day, with approval of my doctor. I continued to get additional minor amount in other supplements. Two years ago my level was 42. I just had test and it is now 73, my doctor was really pleased. The main difference was switching to separate Carlson soft gel.Product Review: carlson vitamin d tabs
