I have used these Bed Buddys for years, heated, and they are my absolute favorite pain relieving product. I use them on my shoulders and neck, and for ear and sinus pain. They really are the only thing that helps when I have ear pain. And heating the neck and shoulders helps with headaches and is generally relaxing and calming.
I have shoved them down the back of my shorts for back pain, and put them in my lap to help with menstrual cramps. I have the larger versions for back and shoulders on my wish list now...
I use them heated, and keep a microwave close to where I sit that is dedicated just to reheating them. That makes it convenient both in not having to get up to do it, but also in not having to worry about keeping the oven or the Bed Buddy clean.
Some of the newer ones have had a nasty chemical odor, and Febreeze did help considerably with that.

I bought this for my mom for Christmas and she LOVES it. She has arthritis and says it has "saved her life". If I knew a sock full of rice would have been such a hit, I would have got her one years ago. This is better than sliced bread!
