Product Reviews of California Exotic Novelties OOOOOH! Adult Party GameProduct Review: Not for Everyone, Great for Some Summary: 3 Stars
Note: Short explanation at bottom.
The basic object of the game (according to the manual) is to bring couples closer together through "mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, romantic, and fanciful" encounters.
The problem is that this game is very unimaginative from the perspective of someone who is open and sexually adventurous to begin with. I don't see how a sexually adventurous couple with good communication would *benefit* from playing this game, because most of the objectives seem to be to please your partner in x way (all of which revolve around communication problems or difficulty initiating desires) However, it may still be *fun* to play, as it is a long term game and can get you to do random things when you might have not done anything at all.
Examples:
Emotional - Omit any criticizing of your lover for one full day... See how it makes them feel and how you feel. Talk about the results.
Spiritual - Offer your body as a private playground for your lover's use
Physical - Orally pleasure your partner
Romantic - Organize a romantic date with your partner.
Mental - Show your initiative by learning a new sexual technique and then practicing it on your lover (most of these involve learning new things and them using them on your partner [like going to a strip club] or some public sex)
Fanciful - Go on a date without wearing underwear and give your partner a peek
In short: If one or both partners in a relationship has trouble trying new things this could be a good tool in initiating new things in the relationship (anal sex, oral sex, etc.) or using it as a tool to restart the engine on a sex life that has slowed or dulled some. It could also be useful in improving communication between partners who may have difficulties sharing/voicing their fantasies and such. Playing the game itself can last quite a while (days to weeks) so the price in itself is reasonable. For the right couple, this game has the potential to do great things.
Manufacturing problems: The "purple" cards are fuchsia, and you need *really* good eyes to tell between the red and pink cards. The box is much too large for the contents inside of it.
