We have been using this product every diaper change. However, one day we were out and about and used Pampers "sensitive" baby wipes. My son, who is seven weeks, developed a very bad painful rash all over his bum. I was horrified! No surprise that it all cleared up after a day or two of using again the California Baby product. Now I will be going to the store to find an even smaller mister-bottle to bring along with us when we go out.Product Review: HORRIBLE PRODUCT

This so called "non-burning & Calming wash" literally BURNED my 11 month old's skin!! From the second we sprayed her, she SCREAMED bloody murder. 24 hours later, and she is still red and swollen. Spoke to a few other moms (and my dr.) who had SAME problem. I have NO IDEA how this gets so many 5 star reviews. BE SAFE and if you are going to use this product, PLEASE try it on a small area of your baby. you could really hurt your little angel if not careful.Product Review: Love it! I have used the cornstarch powder on my 2 year old son since he was born and never had diaper rash with him. When I had a baby girl 5 months ago, I went with the powder again because of my success with it before. However, baby soon erupted in diaper rash. Clearly, she needed a different product. With the first treatment, her diaper rash went away. I have spritzed a little on her for every diaper change since then and I have never seen another rash--except for the time I ran out and went back to powder while waiting for the California Baby to come in the mail again! Love it! It's interesting to me that she doesn't mind the cold spray on her tushie. I guess it really is soothing.Product Review: Non burning? I don't think so....

My (already potty-trained) three year old daughter has been suffering from some irritation 'down there' and so I thought this would be the perfect solution for giving her an extra bit of gentle cleaning after a bathroom visit. The first time I used it, she was furious with me and told me it hurt. I felt bad, but thought perhaps she was just being persnickety -- she does this sometimes. It turns out I should have trusted her. Later that day I decided to try it on my own delicate parts, and this stuff burns like mad, and continues to do so long after it's been applied.
I usually love California Baby's products -- we use their bubble baths, calendula cream, shampoos, conditioner, and lotions. But this one wholly misses the mark. There is nothing calming or non-burning about it. Quite the opposite. The way I look at it, if this irritates adult skin, the chances are better than not that it will do so to the majority of infants and toddlers as well. Why take the chance? I'd avoid it.

My husband and I are adamant about cloth diapers and natural products. Love California Baby products. This spray is wonderful. We use it with reusable wipes--Baby Kicks Baby Wipes (also a great product). The spray is soothing and has a light spritz. Works to clean up sticky messes, prevent, and heal diaper rash. In fact our baby has yet to get diaper rash. Yeah!
