I wouldn't say its the most efficient but effective at circulating warm air. If you have a well insulated open floor plan concept of living space with wood burn fuel to heat the space and need to circle the air around the room, then you'll get your money worth. We have a Hearthstone soapstone stove and the place where we bought the stove said these fans would not work well because the top heat would not be high enough to keep the blades working. This season I bought a second thermometer and placed it on the back corner of the stove. The temps came up to its operating temp and seemed to stay in the range.
I ordered the fan and it arrived faster than expected, is ready to use right out of the box, and was put into use right away. It started spinning within a few minutes and hasn't stopped yet. It is in the back left corner of the stove and aimed at my wife's chair. It seems to have raised her side of the room a couple of degrees, which makes a happy wife and therefore a happy life. Great product. Quiet and efficient. Not a regret, but I wonder about how much better the three blade unit is for the roughly $50 more. Definite 5 star recommendation.
