These are really tasty bars. I don't have any children, I buy these for myself. They are healthy and chewy and work as a great replacement for a higher calorie, less nutritious candy bar or cookie. They are similar in texture to chewy cookies. At 140 calories for the peanut butter flavor (highest calorie flavor)and perfectly purse-sized, they are easily carried around with you so you are able to avoid unhealthy alternatives you could get at the c-store or impulse area of the grocery store. They have the "stay in your belly" for the perfect mid-morning or before bedtime snack. They fit well into a healthy (and calorie-conscious)diet, being made whole oats and organic ingredients. Don't have kids, but love the size of these nutritious bars.
I normally eat Clif Bars and Larabars. These just complement the many vegan bars I eat when I am too busy at work to sit down or grab a bite between tasks. Keeps me going throughout my busy day.
I especially LOVE the peanut butter and chocolate chip.
I would have given it 5 stars, but I am not that fond of the brownie flavor in the variety pac.
