As my son's teacher put it, the chew stixx jr was good and bad. Good that it kept his shirt dry, because he did indeed enjoy chewing it rather than his clothing, and bad because spit collected in the hollow inner-tube. I think a solid stick, or at least closed ends, would have made this a helpful tool. As is, he can't take it with him to school because of the spit problem. It also makes quite a bit of noise as he chews on it.
