This is my second purchase of this heating pad. The first one lasted more than 3 years using it nightly on my back and sometimes off and on throughout the night when I woke up with discomfort. I previously used Thermophore and while they are excellent pads, this is better since you can set it for a certain amount of time up to an hour and a certain temperature. You don't have to keep your finger on the switch as you do with the other brand. I feel that I get much more deep tissue relief and muscle spasm relief with these pads than with the inexpensive conventional heating pads on the market. While they are expensive, they really do the job.
