Product Reviews of Burts Beeswax Lip Balm - 0.15 ozProduct Review: Perfect Lip Balm Summary: 5 Stars
I've tried dozens of different lip balm products over the years, but I keep coming back to Burt's Bee's Beeswax Lip Balm. Two applications get me through an entire day, and I love the hint of peppermint. A absolute must-have for winter weather, but something I keep with me year-round.
Product Review: Perfect Lips from a Stick Summary: 5 Stars
I cannot believe I am writing a review for lip balm, but I'll add my two cent's worth of praise for this great product. I have used Burt's Beeswax Lip Balm for at least eight years--back when the only place you could get Burt's Beeswax products was in Whole Foods. Now every Walgreens seems to have a complete Burt's Bees kiosk. Folks, I tried everything, and I mean everything. I have bought lip balms, salves, whatever, ranging from the 99-cent Chap-Sticks to those $9 Jack Black Lip Balm tubes. This is the best product for your lips. It's relatively inexpensive, free of gimmicky inert products, and it will keep your lips softer and super moisturized far longer than Carmex or Chap-Stick ever will.
Product Review: Plus and minus issues with this... Summary: 4 Stars
While I like some things about this product there are some negatives to consider. First, there is no sunscreen which is a big issue for me. I very much prefer lip balms with a sunscreen but for someone sensitive to that ingredient not having one would be a huge plus. Second, I like the feel of the minty-ness. It isn't something that bothers my skin but the peppermint in it could be an irritant to some people. Perhaps, it doesnt bother me because I don't use this exclusively, I'm not sure, but I can see this being an issue for some people with sensitive skin. The texture is a mixed-bag for me. While it feels nice once it's on, I find it a bit *pulling* to get it on. I think that it melts a bit at body temp so once its on, it feels good. I find a bit *stiff* in the tube. I like the tube form as lip balms in a tin are a bit messy to get on and this is easy to carry with you. I haven't had any issues with the cap coming off in pocket or purse. It also doesn't look *feminine* in the tube or have a sweet flowery scent so my son will use it.
Product Review: Really soothing and comforting Summary: 5 Stars
I love this chapstick and won't buy any other brands. I love the smell, kind of a cooling, tingling, refreshing blast for your lips. It melts onto your lips for perfect coverage, not at all waxy.
Product Review: Shipping prices ruin it. Summary: 5 Stars
While this product is one of the best I've ever used, buying it from Mind Body Source isn't worth it at all. Yes, the tube itself is only 49 cents, but shipping and handling for one is over 4 dollars! That's over 8 times the price for the actualy product, folks. Not worth it at all.
