Product Reviews of Burt's Bees - Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash, 8 oz liquid

Product Review: Burt's Bees Is the Only Way to Go
Summary: 5 Stars

I love Burt's Bees. No matter what I get from them, they always come through! My baby has very sensitive skin. I can't use dryer sheets or any laundry detergent that has dyes or perfumes. The Burt's Bees baby lotion and bath are both excellent and never irritate my baby's skin, even when other baby lotions do.

It has a great, light smell. I pour a little in the baby's bath, it makes a little bit of bubbles. I don't use it as a shampoo, but I do love it!

Product Review: Burt's Bees is great!
Summary: 5 Stars

This shampoo is much more natural than the traditional brands. It is very gentle and isn't too drying on my baby.

Product Review: Didn't work for my son's sensitive skin
Summary: 2 Stars

I really wanted to like this based on all the good reviews, but unfortunately this really dried out my son's sensitive skin, to the point of having to buy prescription steroid cream to heal his skin. The best stuff I have found is Aveeno's Baby Wash - doesn't dry out his skin, but still gives him the bubbles he loves in the tub.

Product Review: Dries out skin and hair - HORRIBLE for Eczema
Summary: 1 Stars

I decided to give this a try after trying several other soaps for my twin's eczema ridden skin. I noticed after the first bath with it that their once soft and shiny hair seemed suddenly brittle, dried out, and ultra freezy. It was as if the soap completely stripped their hair. Then I noticed their eczema getting much, much worse after a few washes. I started having to use a leave-in conditioner in their hair to even get a hair brush through it, it was so dry, brittle and tangled. Then extra lotion on their skin. The eczema worsened so bad I took them to the doctor again - before he had recommended just putting cortizone on it but this time it was so bad he had to give a prescription lotion. He asked what soap we were using and when I told him this stuff, he freaked out and told us it's the absolute worst for babies skin. We switched to something else and my twin's hair instantly was soft and shiny again, not frizzy and dried out looking like with Burts. Their eczema immediately disappeared after we stopped using this.

It dries and strips out skin and hair, it's just awful!!! Definitely shouldn't be used on a baby!! I wouldn't use it on myself, much less my children!

Product Review: Give Clorox a chance!
Summary: 5 Stars

I understand the other reviewers' concern over Clorox buying Burt's Bees, but if they'll provide a natural, environmentally friendly product, and can do it for less, it'll mean that more people can afford it and more people will be able to use it.

Yes, they'll make money, they're a business, they either make money or go out of business. However, it isn't inconceivable that they'll do something good with this. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
