I'm no cosmetic expert. In fact I have absolutely zero interest in cosmetics (and don't even wear them) so you know I'm not someone who buys beauty products for fun and for the novelty of it. But I live in the desert where the dry air desiccates your skin so I sometimes have to pick up product for skin care. I got attracted to the Burt's Bees products via their cute and creative in-store displays and then ending up trying a wide range of their products.
This body lotion I find essential after showers, especially in winter-time (when you're skin feels like it's been flash-fried to absolute dryness the minute you step out of the shower and towel off). It has a rich silky feel but it doesn't feel greasy or waxy.
It absorbs fast and keeps all itching at bay for a few hours at least. It has a wonderful subtle smell: kind of a sweet, honey scent that isn't overpowering. For my money, this Milk and Honey scent is better than the scent from the similar Carrot-based body lotion, nor does this lotion stain your clothing like the Carrot body lotion does. Highly recommended!

My baby has some bumps on his elbow and knees. After using this and the baby body wash for 2-3 days, the bumps are gone. My baby's skin is really soft and smooth. I apply a bit on baby's bum bum too, and then apply diaper rash cream and it works much better than using diaper rash cream alone. Wonderful! The smell is gentle but somehow it is not my type of scene and it is kind of watery which makes it runs out fast... so it is a bit pricey. It is organic right?
Overall great product for winter.

Aside from applying this to his whole body after baths, I've dabbed extra amounts of this onto every slight skin irritation my baby has had since he was born, after which it was always cleared up within hours. I love that they are accountable for the exact percentage of natural vs synthetic ingredients in each one of their products. I can feel good about putting this brand on my baby's delicate skin. FYI-I believe the tiny percentage that is not natural is just to preserve the product.
