I actually did not use this item. I got it for my sister in law who was visiting with my brother. She had broken a bone in her feet and had a pin put in. Could not get it wet nor put any weight that feet. They had been wrapping with plastic wrap previously and I decided to get this for them to try. No more plastic wraps! My brother said it was easy to use. I did get the wide even though my sister in law is very petit since some of the reviews for the regular one commented on how tight it was. Better for the environment and works great (so they told me).
Description of Brown Medical SEAL-TIGHT Original Cast and Bandage Protector, Adult Short Leg Wide
Don't fumble with plastic bags and tape to make a cast waterproof - use SEAL-TIGHT coverings instead. The key is the SEAL-TIGHT watertight seal, a flex-seal rubber diaphragm that slips over the cast and fits your leg or arm squeegee-tight. The diaphragm creates a uniform seal around the limb and permits drainage of water away from the cast protector. The vinyl arm or leg bag is durable; it is abrasion resistant and minimizes slippage while showering. The ring system, which connects the seal and bag, is welded ultrasonically, and supported by caulking and rivets. With 14 sizes to choose from, you'll find the exact size you need.
