Product Review: Brightspark ADD and Focus Formula
Summary: 1 Stars

I am almost finished with both bottles and have not seen an improvement in my 9 year old daughters behavior or attention span. She is very hyper and that hasn't changed either. I have been giving her 6 tablets a day and two doses a day of the focus formula nine drops each dose. Anybody have any suggestions? I know herbal formulas take longer to work so I'm willing to order one more bottle before I give up.

Product Review: Dangerous: Research the ingredients!
Summary: 1 Stars

There is a huge misconception that just because an item is herbal or "natural" that it is safe. That is just not true! If you've ever heard of the amazon jungle then you should know nature can kill you in a New York minute. Stating that let me go over the ingredients of this product.

Hyoscyamus also called "henbane" - The entire plant is poisonous. Children were known to die from overdose from the seeds and seed pods. The herb use to be used as an Aphrodisiac or Hallucinogenic. The diabolical properties of this herb were even known in Shakespeare's time as it was the poison used to kill Hamlet's father.

Arsen Iod aka "Arsenic" cut with lactose - Arsenic is dangerous to humans used in medicines its primary function is for rapid absorption into the body.

Verta alb a deceptive reduction of its true name "American Hellbore" - listed on the most dangerous herbs list. Another poisonous plant used for its hallucinogenic properties.

Tuberculinum aka "tuberculosis pus" - in short pus is gathered from TB victims and put into the formula.

Overall based on the ingredients you could call this similar to being herbal LSD.

Do not let the [...] website fool you. They only accept positive testimonials on their website and why would a business like to disclose that these plants have side effects, they are not required to. The DHEA law states that manufacturer is responsible for determining the safety of their products not the FDA. So even if the product is registered with the FDA it did not go through the thorough testing that standard medications must go through. The long term effects of this product are not determined and by the time you may see a side effect it will be long past the statute of limitations and their disclaimers will protect them legally. All natural and chemical remedies have long term effects on the kidneys, liver and heart. As they are all toxins not normally digested and must be cleansed from the blood.

I strongly believe that any positive results have more of a placebo effect than anything else. Rather than giving some unstudied herbal concoction why not get flintstone vitamins put them in a pretty bottle and say that these are magic vitamins that will make you do better in school. You will probably have the same effect without the added cost and one daily vitamin is recommended by most pediatricians. I also believe that no herbal supplements should be given to a child with out a clinical diagnosis for ADD/ADHD and the approval of your child's pediatrician.

Since most of the comments on these remedies seem to be female let me just say that there are no genies in bottles and magazines to solve behavoiral issues in children or to make you lose weight or anything else in between. Children are hard work and require constant diligence. Stop looking for magic cures because you might be doing more harm than good.

Product Review: Excellent

This is an excellent product. I can really tell a difference in my child since he has been taking it!

Product Review: Finally non-prescription help
Summary: 5 Stars

I researched for quite some time on the internet about add and adhd symptoms. My 13 yr old son posed enough of the symptoms to make me believe this is why he behaves the way he does. I have always been a fan of natural remedies over meds. There are so many that work. I found this site and was immediately excited to try it. I had it overnight shipped and started my son the next day. There are no side effects. He definitely has no more night terrors and doesn't talk in his sleep all night. He sleeps through the night quietly. He says he never would have been able to study for test in class and make b's on them without this bright spark. He also takes brain tonic and the focus formula. There is a difference when he is on break from school and slacks his normal dosage. But definitely worth the money. It also may take several weeks to see full effects.

Product Review: Helpful in conjunction with other remedies
Summary: 4 Stars

We have been using Bright Spark for three weeks now, and I have seen some substantial improvement in my daughter's behavior.

I don't think that this remedy used alone is a panacea, however. The improvement that we have witnessed has been in conjunction with other adjustments we have made and other nutritional therapies.

We are also treating our daughter for sensory integration disorder (which is truly helpful). Also helpful is fish oil. I am also using flax oil, spirulina, etc. for a daily smoothie.

She gets Bright Spark 3x daily, 2 tablets a day. All of this treatment works best if she also avoids sugar and gets a good night's sleep.

I would agree with the post that warns about missing a dose. The one tantrum my daughter has had in the last month coincided with missing a dose of Bright Spark. It was ugly, but not as extreme as previous tantrums had been, so progress even there.
