Product Reviews of Braun bodyCruzer Men's Body Groomer, TitaniumProduct Review: The Manscaper Summary: 4 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I put the bodycruZer through the a vigorous review process and was overall impressed with its performance:
* First, the bodycruZer uses Gillette Fusion blades, so you get top-of-the-line shaving and many of you the blades will be compatible with your everyday razor that you already use.
* With wet & dry shaving, the bodycruZer is very convenient.
* It's easy to use. Braun did a great job designing this product, and the device has a very natural feel.
* The bodycruZer has several comb attachments, so you can adjust it to your own grooming needs. For example, some guys just want to trim things up a bit, and there's an appropriate attachment for them. It has all the tools to help a guy take care of things in a way that will make his gal pal happy.
* It has cordless operation of up to 50 minutes per charge.

First of all it feels a little like a Frankenstein device. I think about cell phones that have a camera, voice recorder, keyboard, wifi, gps, etc, etc ....
This thing tries to do it all too with the shaver attachment. While it does work - it is certainly unwieldy. The shaver portion is weird. It does shave and I liken it to being able to shave a beard and get close shave at the same time. For those of you that must do both simultaneously - you are in luck.
Other wise - the body groomer works very well and the option of having a razor attached is handy for that one spot you must closely shave.
The bummer here is that you can't let a razor sit for along time - it will simply rust along the edges and will be worthless next time your body hair and that spot you must shave is due for grooming.
If you want a capable body groomer and are right on the margin of buying another one at the same price - then the shaver can push you over the edge. Otherwise it is just an expensive gimmick.
Product Review: Very good, but you need to be careful Summary: 4 Stars

There are many nice things to say about this groomer. It's attractive, it's waterproof, and it has a wonderful shower caddy attachment which is very convenient. The handle makes it easy to grip, and it's quite versatile in that you can use it in several different ways. The charge seems to last a long time, at least that's been our experience so far. (And note on the instructions that you should let the battery run down before you charge it up again so that it will extend the life of the battery.)
The razor itself has a Gillette fusion blade, which I like a lot, and it is the type blade I buy for my husband. When you are using the razor alone, you extend the handle to lift it above the trimmer. It's a little awkward using the razor alone, but you can get used to it.
When you are using the trimmer and razor together, it's in the middle position. And when you are only using the trimmer (with or without attachments) it's in the bottom position. (It "clicks" into place.)
This groomer comes with three plastic attachments that go over the trimmer - each allows you to comb through the hair and cut it at varying lengths. At first the plastic was hard to get on, but then I got the hang of it and it's fine now.
You do need to be careful when you are using the trimmer alone, and you will probably be very conscious of the razor looming so near. My husband used the trimmer on his sideburns, and he told me he was afraid he'd take his ear off. (It's not recommended for the face, and we now understand why.)
When you do have the trimmer extended and the razor at the same level, you can use them together, and it's very effective. The trimmer will cut the longer hairs and then the razor follows for the smoothest feel of all. But as noted above, be careful - it's not as easy as it sounds and you can cut yourself. It's a bit awkward and you need to be attentive. You also need to keep the trimmer (and combs) clean and not clogged with hair in order for it to work properly. If you've got a lot of hair, you're going to be doing a lot of this.
Also, for the ladies, I tried using the trimmer on my legs, to see how it would work, and it didn't - my legs were not silky to the touch. The razor part works, but you don't need this groomer if you're just going to use the razor.
All in all, I think this is a very nice groomer. I've always liked the quality of Braun products, and this doesn't disappoint.
Product Review: Well Built Groomer But May Not Be For Every Man Summary: 3 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I have always been a huge fan of Braun products. The build quality and design always amazes me. I have owned several Braun rechargeable shavers over the years; not because they kept wearing out but because I like to experience the new technology Braun puts into their latest products. Now I'm not a very hairy man but I do require a beard and mustache trimmer, a nose/ear hair trimmer, and even a mini shaver for detailing. Much to my disappointment, Braun does not make any of these trimmer/shavers. So even though I am a serious Braun fan I always find myself having to purchase less quality products from other manufacturers. So when Braun introduced the new BodycruZer groomer, I was extremely intrigued. I wasn't too sure about the attached Gillette Fusion shaver, as it looked rather dangerous to have perched atop a trimmer. Well when I was offered the opportunity to test this new device I eagerly accepted.
The product is packaged well and comes with everything you could need. The box includes the Braun BodycruZer groomer with attached Gillette Fusion razor, a weighted base charger stand, 3 different attachment combs, cleaning brush, hanging holder for the BodycruZer, travel pouch, owner's guide, and warranty/registration paperwork. There is also a replacement Gillette Fusion razor head included in the package. A concerning fact about this packaging is that the multi-blade Fusion razor head does not come with a cover, so you want to be very careful removing the device from the packaging as one could easily cut themselves. The Braun BodycruZer feels very solid, well balance, and feels good in your hand. The Fusion razor sliding adjustment is well designed and easy to operate. Charging is performed via an inductive type method, through the base of the groomer handle itself, with no exposed contacts. This great design virtually eliminates the possibility of electric shock. Once charged for a few hours the BodycruZer comes to life with plenty of power to cut most body hair. It is NOT a beard trimmer, although it can certainly be used for light beard and mustache trimming. However, with that Fusion razor head looming above the power trimmer, it requires the user to practice extreme caution when using the trimmer anywhere on your face. It would be extremely easy to nick your ear or nose with the razor head.
This is a wet and dry body grooming trimmer/shaver, so you can use it with or without shaving cream, and can use it in the shower and/or rinse it clean with water. The attachment combs are convenient but are a little cumbersome to remove. It was very hard for me to feel confident doing anything with the end of the trimmer due to that multi-blade razor sitting there so close to the trimmer head. I really feel that the razor adds a definite level of danger, given the fact that the blades are always exposed.
The operator's manual states that "the BodycruZer is NOT intended for removing facial hair or scalp hair." The manual also states that the trimming combs should be used on dry hair only, and that shaving foam, cream or gel should not be used when trimming with the comb attachments. It also advises using the "sensitive" comb attachment when trimming on skin in sensitive areas, such as in the genital area. Seriously, the genital area? OK, I guess some guys might like keeping that area...um, well groomed. The manual advises using the trimming and shaving combination on large areas, like the chest and back. I did not test this because I do not have back hair and I have no desire to shave my chest. Braun also recommends applying a drop of machine oil onto the trimmer head, on a weekly basis, if the trimmer is cleaned under water. Oddly enough my BodycruZer did not come with any machine oil so I guess they figure I would enjoy running out and buying it myself before using their trimmer. Well they figured wrong.
Overall I find this device is geared toward extremely hairy men or men that want a smooth, hairless chest and/or genital area. I honestly assumed that the BodycruZer was meant for facial trimming and shaving, in addition to grooming other areas of the body. Since the device is not intended for the facial area, I just don't have much use for the product. I'm also a bit scared of the razor head, as there is no cover for the razor blades. Now I'm not saying that this device is not good. It seems very well built, as all Braun products usually are, and I'm sure some men will find it very handy for trimming and shaving hair in areas that I just don't have a need or desire. I do, however, feel that Braun should have paid far more attention to safety, regarding the extremely sharp Fusion razor head. The way it is designed it would be very easy for someone to cut themselves on the razor blades. A simple cover would prevent accidental cuts and could also provide protection to the delicate blades themselves. Then again I'm not an engineer so maybe they know something that I don't. But for me the Braun BodycruZer will likely remain in a bathroom drawer most of the time. I have removed the razor head, for the safety of myself and my family, but will keep the BodycruZer handy in case I suddenly sprout back hair or decide to shave all of my body hair so I can join the Olympic swim team. It's a quality Braun product that is clearly not designed or meant for every man.
Product Review: Who needs waxing? Summary: 3 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
This is the first body groomer I have ever heard about or seen. I was left wondering, where have they been?
Now this is coming from the point of view of a man with hair. I didn't shave my legs with it or witnessed it used on a woman. I can only attest to what it has done for me thus far and I shall give you the conclusion that I surmised as well as you should be able to do the same.
First off this resembles much a beard groomer with different settings for different lengths of hair but where it differs is this:
- Has different head for different TEXTURE of hair. Very Very useful and adds to its universal ability.
It also has attached a very Gillette like razor blade for obvious reasons. It is used to "finalize" the remaining hair that was left after using the trimmer. So in the long run after you have used different tools to trim the hair down to size, you will at best get the closeness of any disposable razor--which is decent but not as good as a wax.
This is a very straightforward item and my conclusion is that it is a regular hair trimmer tweaked to fit body hair more auspiciously but in the end it all coalesces to a simple razor.
I say if you have a lot of hair (men) I would look into this because the price is relatively inexpensive but note that it's a fancy way to get your hair short enough to use its integrated razor.
Women - I would stick to what you have been doing because I doubt this makes it any easier.
