Excellent product. I took advantage of the prior reviews at Amazon to check this shaver's quality among previous purchasers and agree that it performs as recommended. Close shaves, ease of handling and the cleaning feature is rather unique to this class of shaver. I would also recommend this product to future customers. My previous shaver was a Norelco, which was good but over the years it loss its battery's ability to recharge and it was time to buy a new one. A deciding feature for me was also the fact that you can't over charge this brand of shaver versus the Norelco, where over charging does damage the battery. I considered another Norelco but given the excellent reviews of this Braun, I bought it instead. I believe this product offers closer shaves than my previous brand as a result of the finer shaving head and the thinness of the foil. Packs easy for travel and can be charged with or without the cleaning container when traveling.Product Review: Braun 8995 360

For many years I Couldn't use a electric shaver because it was always a incomplete shave, so after each Christmas when I received a new one I would try it and would go back to a manual razor, THEN came along the freeglider and yippy it did a reasonable job that I would call satisfactory, the over the years That razor went obsolete so I started to look for a new replacement. I read some of the reviews. I read "the refills are costly ... hello... 4$ a month?, then I read doesn't do a good job, Well let me report to you all this is the best darn razor, Its like magic each time I use it(cleans itself each time" its quick, comfortable , quiet, the cleaning process is so cool and I for one love the concept of a clean razor each time I use it, this razor is 10 times better then the freeglider which I loved, what a joy shaving now is , I can even shave twice (I go to work sometimes at 3am then later that night if I'm going out I can shave again and it doesn't irritate.. what a magical razor they have designed ..
PS. The cleaning solution is not expensive (under 12$ for 3ea, that's 4$ apiece and lasts a month).

update, Im reporting how I rate this razor after 6-mths,
It has taken the hassle out of shaving, 3min of effort-free shaving and still a close shave, No complaints, no regrets, no problems, still feels like it is brand new, is quiet, clean, quick. I rate this razor as a ten on a scale of ten . John

Best shaver I have ever had. I converted from a Norelco rotary type and am kicking myself for not using this type of shaver earlier. Close shave, comfortable and the self cleaning feature is really nice.
