I switched to Braun about 8 years ago. I always like the latest and greatest in technology. I just placed an order for the 8985, and this will probably be my 5th Braun. I don't like the fact the screen/blades wear out after about 6 months (even though they advertise 18 months). I do like the fact that the shaver gets a thorough cleaning every day, which provides a brand new shaver every day.
I get absolutely no razor burn, but I have seen reviews that suggest otherwise on this paticular shaver. I'll update this review if necessary.
I have faith in this company/shaver as I used Norelco and other brands for 30 years and never got a close shave and always had razor burn.
