Product Review: Quiet High Quality Shaver 3-390cc

I purchased this shaver after looking at all the other Series shavers. This shaver was the highest shaver in Series 3, and the lowest price. I probably will only rarely use the cleaning system. The shaver is partially charged out of the box, fully charged a few hours later when I looked. I shaved about 3 minutes a day for 18 days after the first charge and not a heavy beard.
This shaver is less close than my last, a Remington MS3-3700. The Remington can get too close and will chew up your skin, especially when the too-often replaced screens fail. The shave can leave long hairs that need trimed to then shave. At the end of its 6 year life it wouldn't hold a charge and the grip pads were ill-fitting and falling off. Too close is painful.
My shaver was made in Germany. Overall the fit and finish of the Braun is excellant. The shave is quiet, smooth, reasonably close and the shaver is more compact than I expected. It is easy to control over my face. I no longer get the stray long hairs, so the long hair part of the head works as advertised. The charge plug is a little long and it sticks out from the outlet. I clean it manually, but the clean light doesn't know that. I like this shaver.

Shaver broke in a few days. Amazon does not accept returns on shavers. I have to wait 8 weeks to recieve my refund. Save yourself some frustration and buy any shaver at a regular stick and morter store where you can return it immediately. I will never use Amazon again.Product Review: Slow Speed

I owned a Braun before buying this one and still keep it as a backup. This one works just fine and is always clean because the holder is also a cleaner. It's not the closest shave I've ever had, but I don't go for that ever since a dermatologist explained that very close shaves welcome ingrown hairs. This one feels just right to me. The only downside is that the cleaning cartridges are pricey. A friend of mine has this machine also and just empties the cartridges and fills them with rubbing alcohol. I'm buying the 3 pack of cartridges for now, but may try the cheap refill method when the machine hits one year old.Product Review: Tips and Tricks

The 390cc really does a great job for an electric shaver. And although I can't get as close as with a razor, shaving has never left my skin feeling better.
Recommendations for using the 390cc.
-Use "afta PRE-ELECTRIC shave lotion" before you shave. This will make your hairs stand up for a closer shave and will leave your skin feeling just that much better.
-Use the trimmer to cut down the long hairs before you shave.
-If you do want a super close shave, simply just use a razor after using the 390cc. This should cut down on irritation from the razor since it wont have to cut as much.
-You don't need to clean it every time you use it.
-You can make the cleaning solution with 5 3/4 oz Rubbing Alcohol, 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract, and 1/2 teaspoon Singer sewing machine oil. (Thanks for the solution goes to someone who posted this earlier.)
