Product Reviews of Braun Series 1 - 190 Men's ShaverProduct Review: After a month of use, I am not sure Summary: 3 Stars
I was expecting a better performance than the older models but I was a bit disappointed. When i shave after a couple of days of growth, it misses individual hairs in various spots on my face no matter how many times I go over that spot. It is also not as fast as I had expected it to be.
Product Review: All you'll ever need Summary: 5 Stars
Had used a pricier Braun several years back, which was excellent, until it broke. Had since been using a Norelco that just was not as good. After it failed, I really wanted to go back to a Braun, but was a bit hesitant about the 1775 as the trimmer looked different (and smaller) than the previous model. Given the much lower price, I decided to give it a try, and am very glad I did. I have some tight spots on a short beard and this thing is nimble enough to get almost anywhere precisely. In addition, the foil pops off and the entire thing can be cleaned by rinsing it in water. The foil itself is as close and tight as the previous Braun model I'd had several years ago that cost almost double what this one did. Overall, I'm very pleased; performance of the product is not compromised at all. Save some $$ and go with this, you'll be glad you did.
Product Review: An excellrnt shaver Summary: 4 Stars
Thia is a quality shaver at a very reasonable price for a change. I particularly like its easy cleaning ability, just holding it under running water. I can find no faults with this shaver albeit after only 3 weeks useage.
Product Review: An inefficient, time-consuming shaver Summary: 2 Stars
My frustration with this shaver is how long it takes to get the job done. You have to repeatedly go over and over the same skin in order to get all the stubble, whereas an "old-fashioned" disposable, multi-blade shaver that is used with shaving cream usually requires only one, maybe two passes.
The other limitation of this shaver is that it does poorly with anything other than short stubble. If the hair is an eighth of an inch or longer, you have to cut it down to size with the attached trimmer, then go back to it with the shaver. You have to use the same process with a hair that is lying flat against the neck.
In conclusion, I would NOT buy this style of shaver again. My next shaver will be another Norelco with rotary blades.
Product Review: As Close as a Blade, Allmost... Summary: 5 Stars
This is the best electric shaver I have ever used! My girlfriend can't tell the differince between a shave from a 4 blade manual razor and this shaver. I can, but barely. I was used to this shaver after only one use. After using the 3 spinning blade electric shavers, I found the foil shaver to deliver the closest electric shave I ever had. It is incrediabley easy to clean unlike other shavers, very cheap for the quality, you can plug it in when you run out of power and keep shaving. It also makes a lot less noise than most shavers do and is much lighter and smaller! It even gets those elusive kneck hairs and it is very fast at getting the job done. As to comfort, I can't even feel the hair being cut, it's like a warm magic wand. Read the manual before using because foil shavers are quite differint.
