Product Reviews of the Braun SE3170 Silk-épil 3 SoftPerfection EpilatorProduct Review: works pretty well Summary: 4 Stars
I've had my epilator for a few weeks now and I like it quite a bit just for the fact that I can do it once and my legs will be virtually hair-free for the next week or so. This product is great for women like me who HATE to shave their legs and I really didn't feel any pain at all from it. I'm pretty sensitive and after reading some of the reviews on here, I was literally bracing myself when I first tried it, but I hardly felt anything except for a few hard tugs on my skin every once in awhile. I do feel a little pain around my ankles where the
skin is more sensitive though but I can live with that especially since shaving my legs in the past has caused me a lot more pain and scarring than this thing ever will.
The downsides that I've encountered have been ingrown hairs, which I leave alone to grow out. The ingrown hairs are not as bad as I thought they would be and I don't have any redness or swelling, but I do see the hair under the skin and it's kind of annoying and unattractive if you're looking closely. The other problem is stubble. No matter how
many times I go over an area, there always seem to be roughness from the re-growing hair. I think the best way to get around this is to let my hair grow for awhile so that it's all long enough to pull. That way it will give me more even coverage. Overall though I think this product is good for women who just don't want to deal with shaving their legs and are looking to other alternatives besides laser hair removal and waxing.
