I am a blade man. Always have been. And I hate electric razors. Always have. But my schedule has left me with little time and an inconsistent day. So I kept forgetting to shave and was forced to plant a blade at work. Great idea unless you are hit with everything when you walk through the door. Long story short, I caved and looked for an electric razor. I bought this one based on price and reviews. It really is the best electric shaver I have seen. And that it is available for $20.00 was a bonus. Does it shave as well as a blade? I have a very tough beard, and before this razor I had basically resigned myself to a life of permanent five o'clock shadow. Regular razors give me razor burn, and electric shavers with the three circular blades arranged in a triangle just don't work for me. I used to think I was just using poor quality razors and I bought myself a $100+ electric shaver from Philips, but I was not impressed. When that one suddenly broke, I found myself in need of another razor, but I was in no mood to spend lots of money. I bought this Braun razor on a whim and it's FANTASTIC! And only $20?! You cannot get a closer shave unless you shave against the grain with a regular razor, which will almost certainly give you razor burn. Also, this razor works both dry and in the shower with shaving cream, depending on your preference.

I purchased this shaver after trying a $15 model that worked but the head kept coming apart. I have been extremely satisfied with the Braun and use it every day. Good shave and no irritation. Better than the $100 Norelco I bought and gave to my son because it didn't shave as well as I wanted. He couldn't use it because his beard is even tougher than mine. For the money, the Braun is a great buy and you can get replacement heads so it will last. No rechargable batteries that have questionable life. For a cheap but very good product nothing can beat this shaver. Closer shave than most expensive ones plus that it can travel everywhere and anywhere.
