Product Reviews of Braun PocketGo P-70 Men's Shaver

Product Review: A real marvel!
Summary: 5 Stars

On my last trip, I swapped my much more expensive travel razor for this remarkable little gem. It is feature rich and gives a good, close shave on two AA batteries, which can be found anywhere. You can't beat the price with features this good. It's so light, it's great for camping, business travel, or just as a spare razor to keep in the office for a quick shave or touch up. I give this razor the highest praise!

Product Review: A step backwards from the original Braun PocketTwist
Summary: 2 Stars

Am I the only one who thinks the new Braun pocket travel shaver is inferior to the old Braun Pocket Twist model?!?!?! the shave is not as close.

I saw this new model in Hong Kong while traveling on business. I thought what the heck I've had the older model for a few years now and its time to get the newer, more modern looking unit. I used the old unit (which I've had 3 of them over 12+ years) and left it on the bathroom counter on purpose as I checked out. Flew home to the USA, opened the new packaged unit and tried it. Boy, what a disappointment. At that moment I was hoping I had packed the old unit in my toiletry kit when I checked out of the hotel.

Product Review: A surprisingly great little shaver!
Summary: 5 Stars

I was lucky enough to get a couple of these Braun P-70s at a ridiculously low single-digit price through Amazon a few months ago, and the quality and reliability is so good that it's become my everyday go-to shaver. I use a Gillette blade razor for most shaving, but like a power shaver for touch-up and trimming, etc. Anyway, I had intended to give one of these away as a gift, but when my older, high-end Braun conked out shortly after I received the P-70s, I decided to keep both, to have one as a backup. The blade is super sharp and the motor is strong. After several months, the battery power does not seem to have diminished at all. I love how this product is small, lightweight and compact...the design is truly remarkable. It's especially ideal for travel, although I'm using mine for everyday home use and it's more than adequate for that too. It's also easy to clean under running water, or you can just pop off the foil and shake it out for a "dry" cleaning. All in all, for what I paid for this, or even at 2 or 3 times what I paid, this is one of the best little shavers I've ever used and owned.

Product Review: A well designed product
Summary: 5 Stars

My shaving routine has me using a foil shaver and then following that up with a Gillette Mach3. The P-70 is one of the best foil shavers I've ever used and overall one of the best designed products I've ever seen. It's completely self contained, waterproof, has a built in trimmer that retracts and even has a small attached brush for cleaning the foil blades. Plus the cover is built-in. I read the previous reviews, bought one and agree 100% with all of the great things said about this shaver. I'm thinking about buying an extra for a spare. If you find something you really like, I find it's best to buy a spare. No telling how long they'll be around.

Highly recommended!

Product Review: Absolute Best Value - Hands Down!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I travel for a living. My son in the U.S. Air force recommended this to me to leave in my suitcase. I have always preferred a "Screen" type razor because it causes much less irritation than a rotary and shaves much closer. I bought my first "PocketGo" Braunfor about 12 dollars at Walgreens. I was amazed at how long the batteries lasted before they ran down. No need to plug it in and recharge, just replace the two AA cells and away you go. I even took it to Italy this summer and saved fooling aroung with the converters and plugs for the 220volt wall sockets. What a great idea. My original PocketGo had a neat little slide out trimmer for those hard to reach areas and hairs you miss that get too long. Too bad someone in engineering threw that out on the P-70 model. A little redeisgn to jake the end square instead of round would have made it work a lot better. This is still the best little electric razor money can buy! $150 for an electric razor??? You HAVE to be kidding.
