Product Review: I'm gonna keep using it

I have been using a Braun Oral B for more than 15 years. My dentist recommended it because I was wearing my enamal down by brushing too aggresively (I wanted them clean). Awesome product. The small round brush allows me to clean each tooth individually on all sides. I let the brush do the work I just move it to the next area to clean. I also floss very throughly. I takes me about five minutes to clean my teeth but it's all worth it when my dentist comments that he wished all his patients cleaned their teeth as well.
I origanally used the brush with the charger. Life changed my situation and I started to use the replaceable battery version due to a lack of counter space for a charger. I love it for that fact and that it's just as thorough as I want it to be.
One minor inconvienence is replacing the batteries. Opposite sides of the base need to be pushed simultaneouly. I don't have the strength to do it so I push the one side on the corner of the counter and the other side with my thumb. Sometimes I have to work at it a bit but am always successful.
One major problem is water getting in. There is an "O" ring in the base to keep water out. I remove and clean the ring and base with a dry regular tooth brush when ever I change the batteries. I'm also very careful in not abusing it such as not banging it and drying it off when done. With all my special care every single one I've owned inevitably leaks. I dry it out, rough up the contacts (they rust quickly) and sometimes it's ready to go again and sometimes it's off to the garbage.
I still love it and will continue to use it. My only hope is that it will continue to be made.

I've been using this toothbrush for years. Works great, gets teeth very clean, and can run on rechargeable AA batteries, so no need to haul a special charger when I travel.
Some people have mentioned difficulty opening the battery compartment. I've never had that problem, either on my old one or my new one.
I was impressed with the durability of my old one. After 8+ years, it had a slightly cracked end cap after getting dropped for the umpty-third time. Still worked fine, just didn't make it back from a trip earlier this summer. I hope this one lasts as long.
Product Review: Less expensive then Wal-Mart

Looked all over for this particular tooth brush. Had one before and it broke down.
Wal-Mart said that they were unavailable anymore. Of course I didn't believe them so I asked my dentist. Told me that they were still available, but had to order a dozen. Didn't want that many, so off to Amazon.com I went. Found them right away, ordered four of them which will last me longer then I live, but will hand them down to my grandchildren. Delivery was quick, brushes were in good order, and now my teeth are brighter and my breath doesn't stink anymore. Thanks again Amazon,

I bought this toothbrush originally 8+ years ago. I loved it because it did not need a charger. However, it finally gave out. I was thrilled to find Amazon had a reseller that still offered it. Yeah! I received the order very quickly.Product Review: Not a Gimmick-Well Worth It

I'd always regarded electric toothbrushes as ridiculous marketing gimmicks. Then my dentist gave me one after I temporarily lost use of one of my arms due to an accident. Not being able to brush and floss properly one handed had caused me to develop pockets between teeth and gums as deep as 5 mm in some places. Yikes! Six months of using this brush made a tremendous difference in gum health. Every single pocket has diminished by at least 1 mm, most more than that, and the average depth is less than when I was still using a regular toothbrush with two functional arms. I'm very pleased and plan to continue using this brush.
I've been satisfied with battery life and bristle life. The first set of batteries lasted me about 4 months. They don't die all at once; the brush just gets slower, so it took me longer and longer to clean my teeth. The wear indicators on the bristles lasted about six months, which is longer than I would have kept a standard toothbrush.
